The Williams College Wind Ensemble presents a free concert entitled Berkshire Inspirations, structured around works written for and inspired by this ensemble, including a student composition (Ben Kaufman, Fantasie), the premiere of a faculty composition (Zachary Wadsworth, Spirals) and the premiere of a new work by internationally acclaimed avant-garde composer Louis Andriessen, entitled Signs and Symbols. Led by Matthew Marsit, the concert will also include Vaughan Williams’ iconic Toccata Marziale and Mason Bates’ electroacoustic masterpiece Mothership.
