Zachary is thrilled to have been named a 2012-13 Fellow of the Douglas Moore Fund for American Opera. This fellowship will place Zachary in residence at six American opera companies over the course of the coming year: the Metropolitan Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Minnesota Opera, New York City Opera, Seattle Opera, and Center City Opera Theater.

As a new Calgarian adjusting to the highs and lows of the city's climate, Wadsworth was inspired by several verses in the Book of Job which reflect violent swings in nature. The result was the composition "Out of the South Cometh the Whirlwind."

Zachary is thrilled to have been named the Young Composer winner of The Esoterics' 2012 POLYPHONOS choral composition competition. As a result of this recognition, he has been commissioned to write a new work for the Seattle choir's 2012 season.

Zachary has been named a winner in the King James Bible Composition Awards for his work, Out of the South Cometh the Whirlwind. The competition, organized by the King James Bible Trust and made possible by the generous support of the Dean and Chapter of Westminster Abbey, was held in honor of the 400th anniversary of the KJV.
