Zachary is delighted to announce that he has accepted the position of Assistant Professor of Music at Williams College, where he will teach courses in music composition and music theory. Williams College has been called America's top college (Forbes) and the best liberal arts college in the United States (US News and World Report).
Zachary is thrilled to return for the fourth time as composer-in-residence at the Staunton Music Festival in August, 2015. The festival's thrilling season will include two world premieres by Zachary, along with a wide variety of work, from Bach's St. John Passion to Sir Peter Maxwell Davies's Eight Songs for a Mad King. The choir of the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer has just released a CD entitled "Ikonic Mass," which is anchored by Zachary's mass of the same name. The recording also includes Zachary's hymn, Immortal Love, For Ever Full, along with music by Bach, Elgar, and Togni. Click here for ordering information.
Zachary's Beati Quorum Remissae and the Agnus Dei from his Ikonic Mass were broadcast on CBC's Choral Concert with Katherine Duncan. The same day, he was interviewed by Alberta's CKUA Radio about the premiere of his new cantata, The Far West.
